Position Title: Marketing & Social Media Coordinator

Location: Wichita, Kansas

Reports To:: Events & Retail Ops Manager

Job Summary:

Assist Retail Management Team in maintaining a strong presence for Coleman Retail through social media accounts and traditional marketing. The Marketing & Social Media Coordinator will use best practices to increase following on several social media platforms, including new and upcoming mediums, online marketplaces, radio, print, digital ads and more under the direction of the Event & Retail Ops Manager.

Job Duties

  • Research audience preferences and discover current trends. Use market research and trial and error to find what posts generate the most interest in a specific area.

  • Create engaging text, image and video content to increase traffic on social media pages. Design posts to sustain readers’ curiosity and create buzz around product and pricing.

  • Measure web social media traffic and change marketing plan on the fly.

  • Stay up-to-date with changes in all social platforms ensuring maximum effectiveness

  • Train co-workers to use social media in a cohesive and beneficial way, including writing out a ‘best practices’ guideline.

  • Facilitate online conversations with customers and respond to queries.

  • Report on online reviews and feedback from customers and fans to Management Team.

  • Develop an optimal posting schedule, considering web traffic and customer engagement metrics.

  • Oversee social media accounts’ layout

  • Suggest new ways to attract prospective customers and the target demographics, like promotions and competitions.

  • Post sales and products on online marketplaces to increase sales and traffic into the stores and truckload sales.

  • Assist in placing and pricing traditional media sources when the market applies

  • Research and offer suggestions on digital advertising including Geo Fencing, Retargeting, Keyword Targeting, Behavioral Targeting and IP Targeting.

  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School graduate; some college preferred.

  • Experience using MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access software programs.

  • Good decision-making with ability to justify decisions with integrity and foresight.

  • Ability to communicate well in written and oral form.

  • Continuous fostering for a teamwork environment in fulfilling job requirements.

  • Must be able to work a flexible work schedule, weekends and holidays.

  • Must have a valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.
