Position Title:Assistant, Ecommerce Merchandising
Reports to: Sr. Manager, Ecommerce Merchandising
Location: Shanghai, China
Under supervision of Sr. Merchandising Manager and in partnership with the E-Commerce leads for Home Fragrance/Appliances & Cookware/Cross-Border, the Assistant, E-Commerce Merchandising role helps to provide data-driven insights from Tmall and data platforms to help drive revenue growth in the HF/A&C/Cross-Border businesses. With the Sr. Manager’s guidance, the position should offer recommendations for A&P and promotional investment strategy, assortment and catalog selection, digital shelf improvement, and all online merchandising activities. Additionally, the Assistant, E-commerce Merchandising will help identify customer needs and competitive advantages by leveraging data-driven insights from market and category analysis.
Assist in collecting and sharing data-driven insights and recommendations to guide merchandising planning and investment strategy. Assist in preparing regular performance reporting with thoughtful proposals for optimizing spend, fueling conversion, and driving sales.
Leveraging data insights, assist in the development of pricing, promotional and other strategies to help achieve marketing and sales goals
Help manage and execute online merchandising and promotional calendar by brand and by store
Provide recommendations for driving traffic via data-driven performance marketing programs and for collaborations with E-Commerce platforms
Assist with cross-border promotional and A&P investment planning with guidance from the Sr. Merchandising manager.
Provide market, competitive, strategic and tactical intelligence to drive prioritization of store initiatives. Monitor and analyze the overall health of the E-Commerce business as well as performance of program KPIs
Bachelor’s Degree required
1-3 years of experience related to E-Commerce ideally with focus on data analysis and merchandising
Knowledge of E-Commerce landscape and platforms
Familiarity with E-Commerce business models, specifically how to drive e-commerce sales through data-driven, innovative, effective and cost efficient marketing/merchandising programs and strategies
Experience with Tmall data
Familiarity with online marketing tactics (SEO, SEM, Email, etc.)
