Position Title: Manager, Amazon Operations

Reports to: Director, Amazon Operations

Location: Seattle, WA

We are looking for a smart, motivated, and customer-centric Manager, Ecommerce Customer Operations for Newell’s fast-growing eCommerce division. The Manager will be responsible for developing and executing best practices in supply chain and operations to maximize customer experience, sales and margin, as well as maintaining end-to-end business ownership of all supply chain processes as it relates to Newell’s Ecommerce customers.

The Manager, Ecommerce Customer Operations will have responsibility for ensuring all supply chain systems and processes are meeting the needs of the business and implementing controls around these processes. He or she will also own driving improvement in supply chain efficiency and cost reduction. We are looking for a smart, analytical, and innovative leader who can help solve these problems in a scalable way that will support rapid growth as well as our long-term business strategy.

This position offers an opportunity to make a significant impact by defining and building a successful supply chain management strategy for this business. Supply Chain Managers will work to continuously optimize our end-to-end supply chain by engaging with the customer to improve operational metrics and driving process enhancements and automation with key internal teams.

A successful candidate possesses superb business judgment and supply chain management experience, strong skills in leading and influencing cross-functional teams, the ability to navigate complex internal organizational structures, and a track record of delivering results. He or she will have strong analytical capabilities, including experience handling large and complex data sets to drive recommendations.

The position requires an individual who can work both autonomously and collaboratively in a demanding and often ambiguous environment with strong attention to detail and effective prioritization.


  • Drive cross-functional strategic initiatives to continuously improve overall cost structure and customer experience.

  • Drive complex business analysis to identify business opportunities to improve revenue and profitability.

  • Drive improvement in inventory availability, increasing inventory efficiency and ensuring that the company makes effective supply chain decisions.

  • Work cross-functionally to identify and build best practices and process improvements.

  • Collaborate closely with demand and supply planning to create effective forecasting processes, tools, and analytical models to improve forecast accuracy.

  • Partner with distribution and transportation teams to streamline processes that maximize throughput and revenue.

  • An active participant in driving transportation execution and carrier management during peak volume seasons

  • Improve and adapt supply chain processes in adherence to the customer’s supply chain policies, communicating customer program changes to stakeholders in order to mitigate vendor program fines.


  • Drive cross-functional projects to support new strategic initiatives and business opportunities for the organization.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects - prioritization, planning and task delegation


  • Identify, define, and execute operational changes partnership with customer team to drive mutually beneficial supply chain improvements.

  • Establish and maintain strong customer relationships.

  • Act as the interface between the customer and Newell supply chain teams.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or a Supply Chain discipline.

  • 2+ years of experience in supply chain, operations, inventory management, or logistics.

  • 2+ years of experience in a retail or ecommerce setting.

  • 1+ years of management experience.

  • Strong sense of ownership, bias for action, and discipline.

  • Strong data analysis, problem solving, and project management skills.

  • Strong problem solving skills; desire to uncover and fix the root issue.

  • Comfortable with ambiguity.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills.

  • Experience with SAP.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
