Position Title: Peak Human Resource Admin

Location: Pataskala Ohio

Reports To: Human Resource Manager

Job Summary

The Human Resources Assistant will assist the HR department to provide daily administrative support to the HR team to ensure that HR provides a comprehensive service to the managers within the organization. This includes, executing the onboarding process through the cross-functional coordination of onboarding requirements.

This individual is knowledgeable in all things related to maintaining Human Resources Information System records and ensuring personnel file documentation is up-to-date and in compliance with company policies and state and federal requirements. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining a high level of confidentiality.

Job Duties

• Serves as point of contact for general employee inquiries

• Prepare and maintain employee files, assuring accuracy, compliance and confidentially. i.e. new hires, status and compensation changes, unemployment claims, verifications, I9 status and State regulations

• Administers pre-employment drug and background screening

• Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings as required

• Assists departments in carrying out various human resources programs and procedures for all company employees

• Makes photocopies, mail, faxes documents and performs other clerical functions

• Assists with recruitment and interview process

• Assists in hiring process by coordinating job postings, screening resumes, performing telephone interviews, conducting reference and background checks, and creating offer letters

• Responsible for badging and data entry of temporary employees into ADP

• Responsible for data entry of FTE and temp employee changes into ADP

• Assist in headcount reporting for operations

• Responsible for attendance tracking as needed

• Performs other related duties as required and assigned

Preferred Qualifications• Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills

• Experience in handling and maintaining sensitive information with a high degree of confidentiality

• Ability to self-motivate and work independently

• Strong administrative and data management skills

• Problem solving – can identify and resolve problems in a timely manner, and gather and analyze information skillfully

• Planning/organizing – ability to prioritize and plan work activities, uses time efficiently and develops realistic action plans

• Ability to consistently meet daily, weekly and monthly deadlines

• Dependability – is consistently at work and on time, follows instructions, responds to management direction and solicits feedback to improve performance

• Basic understanding of major employment laws

Minimum Qualifications

• Knowledge of principles and practices of human resources

• Prior experience with an HRIS database and Applicant Tracking System (ATS)

• Effective oral and written communication skills

• Excellent interpersonal skills and computer literacy

• Proficient using Microsoft Office Products

• Must have a high level of integrity and able to maintain confidential information

• Exceptional customer service skills

• Adaptable to changing fast paced environment

• Demonstrate ability to function as a team player


• 1-2 years’ experience in Human Resources

• 2 years of administrative support experience

• Prior experience working with some form of HRIS

• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office programs

• Must pass Background Check and Drug Screen


• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required

• Associate degree from accredited institution is preferred or equivalent experience
