Position Title: Vertical Sales Representative RCP

Location: Medellín, Antioquia

This position is responsible for driving sales growth for Rubbermaid Commercial Products through the development of business opportunities to top end-user accounts across specific verticals (Hospitality, Transportation, Manufacturing, Food Service, and BOH) in Medellín. This region represents a particular challenge for the growth of the Rubbermaid Commercial business where local competition has high penetration and brand preference across end-users and top decision-makers from different verticals.

A Vertical Selling Specialist must build strong commercial relationships by identifying opportunities in which RCP can solve end-user needs and develop new opportunities that help to reach the best in class standards and practices across their market.

The Vertical Selling Team is a key pillar for sales growth, as it is responsible for driving sales of RCP products to AAA and AA end-users of strategic verticals within the region. This position should achieve monthly sales targets as well as a number of end-user visits during this period.

Specific Responsibilities

Specific responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Service current end-user database by visiting their facilities, identifying their needs, presenting product solutions, and following up on these sales opportunities to increase product listing.

  • Work closely with users and decision-makers inside top end-users to build strong, long-lasting end-user relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs.

  • Arrange product demonstrations and training with end-users to show product features, benefits, and advantages against competitor products.

  • Follow up on end-user negotiations to meet monthly, quarterly and annual sales goals. Feed and update the Salesforce.com tool with status and information on end-user negotiations.

  • Research the market for opportunities and identify new potential end-users aligned with RCP strategy.

  • Cold calling potential customers and building relationships with new end-users to build strong and long-lasting relationships.

  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and attending industry conferences and events.

  • Continually develop knowledge of business climate, product applications and competitors, while seeking opportunities for business development within vertical.

Qualifications

  • Education requirements: Bachelors’ degree in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, Marketing

  • Years of experience in a specific discipline: 1 year in sales

  • Language requirements: Intermediate English skills

  • Travel requirements: Yes.

Experience

  • Moderate experience in MS Excel and Power, Otlook and Salesforce

  • Specific technical skills requirements: Drive for Results, Consumer & Customer Focus, Collaborate for growth, Negotiation skills

  • Preferred experience in commercial areas: trade, marketing, sales
