TITLE: Finance Analyst
LOCATION: Maryville, TN
REPORTS TO: Sr. Financial Manager, US Operations
The Financial Analyst will be responsible to perform accounting-related processes at the Tennessee plants including assisting in month-end, budgeting, costing, capital spending, cost savings and productivity analysis. The Financial Analyst will act as one of the liaisons for plant financial functions and needs. Focus on reporting, costing, & providing informative analyses of the operations and is committed to working in a team-oriented environment, while supporting all Tennessee facilities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Focus on costing and providing informative analyses of the operations.

Represent the Finance Team with a professional and customer service based attitude.
Provide timely and accurate information to internal customers.
Practice efficient time management and organization skills in order to meet all deadlines.
Support the development of manufacturing and supporting department budgets.
Support accurate manufacturing cost files through review and explanation of variances.
Analyze Direct Cost Variances, cost reduction programs, wage rate variance and non-standard variances.
Meet monthly closing requirements to properly reflect current financial status of the plant.
Analyze significant operating variances on a monthly basis for Direct Labor, Variable Manufacturing Expense, Scrap & Material Usage.
Provide detail analysis for month-end journal entries, reconciliations and reporting.
Must work effectively in a fast-paced team environment with constant interruptions. Must clearly understand business goals and be able to understand how they contribute to the organization’s success. Extensive short-term planning based on established and changing priorities. Involves ongoing problem solving. Some irregular hours required.
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
Demonstrated understanding of managerial accounting as it relates to a manufacturing environment.
Advanced knowledge of PC spreadsheets, databases and mainframe standard cost and inventory systems, especially Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to understand and assimilate new ideas and manage change.
Good planning and organizational skills combined with strong written and oral communication skills.
Strong analytical and technical accounting skills.
Attention to detail.
Highly organized and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Lean manufacturing knowledge.
Must complete all OSHA required training.
