The Leader, Quality Distribution role's primary responsibilities include leading and assuring the local Newell Service Center maintains a robust, effective Quality Management System that complies with applicable regulations, laws and business unit policies and procedures. The role will provide Quality oversight to on-site quality inspectors (between 2 and 4). In addition to supervision of quality processes such as quality rework, audits, and customer quality concerns, the Quality Leader assures the local DC and resources adequately support BU requirements and priorities to create customer value addressing elements critical to business success.

Reporting Structure:

The quality site leader reports to the Sr. Manager, Quality Distribution with dotted line reporting to the local distribution management team.

Job Description:

· Responsible for the development, maintenance, and execution of the DC Quality Management System in compliance to BU and DC procedures and Quality Standards.

· Execute quality process at the local site level to maximize efficiencies in the NDN.

· Collaborate with Transportation/DC on carrier related issues and driving claims to resolution where escalation is needed. Also assist Supply Chain and partner with BD businesses on carrier related issues where root cause analysis and corrective actions are initiated to improve carrier performance.

· Generate monthly and quarterly metric reports as dictated by the Sr. Leadership

· Supervise and coordinate audits as required in compliance with regulatory requirements for each BU.

· Set -Up/Coordinate any rework areas and activity in accordance with the BU quality teams.

· Track (in detail) results of any audits, rework activity, labor, and materials for reporting purposes.

Experience:

· BS Degree in Quality Engineering preferred (Not required), or related field.

· Minimum of 5 years’ experience within quality, supply chain, manufacturing and/or distribution.

· Minimum of 5 years in general managerial or equivalent roles.

· Computer skills (Excel, Word, Power Point, etc.)

· SAP/PKMS experience preferred but not required.

· Organizational, analytical and process efficiency skills

· Interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral)
