Newell Brands Sr. Pricing Analyst in Huntersville, North Carolina

The Senior Pricing Analyst will support the Rubbermaid Commercial business unit to leverage strategic Pricing actions to drive profitable growth and effective price realization. The candidate will be responsible for leveraging data analytics and business acumen to bring forward insights and recommendations to business leadership that make a measurable impact on the company’s growth objectives. This individual will be responsible for working with key functions to help uncover pricing opportunities through the development and execution of analytical tools.

Duties & Responsibilities:

· Develop strategic pricing strategy (analyze competitors, regional pricing differences and identify opportunities to maximize price

· Provide subject matter expertise on pricing strategy and executions, working closely with business partners within Strategic Pricing, Finance, Sales and Marketing on pricing decisions

· Ownership of pricing reporting for senior leadership, highlighting key observations and recommendations for impact including facilitation of recurring Pricing Committee meetings with Diagnostics Leadership teams

· Support the forecast and budgeting process with pricing analytics and drive alignment on findings between cross-functional stakeholders

· Support the continual improvement of pricing tools and processes including the development, management, and maintenance of existing tools as well as the development/implementation of additional tools as required

· Manage all relevant pricing data and develop insightful pricing analytics (promo history, sources of price changes, etc) and tracking of key customer pricing changes (price/volume tradeoffs, dates, segmentation)

· Empower business partners by leveraging pricing tools and models to effectively visualize data and deliver business insights

· Identify opportunities for price optimization of List Prices, Discount Structures, Private Label, OEM Pricing, and Large Bid Work.

· Supports new product development teams by designing product specific pricing calculators and target price models, to maximize profitability at the onset of a product launch.

Requirements:

· Strong communication skills to articulate solutions to complex business problems, lead cross-functional discussions, and ability to drive alignment with key stakeholders across various functions

· Strong analytical skills; ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders

· Experience working with technical resources responsible for system development and maintenance

· Demonstrated experience designing and implementing process improvement plans

· High proficiency in MS Office tools required including expert level Excel skill (including Macros); familiarity with a variety of Business Intelligence and analysis tools

· Ability to match/merge databases to facilitate appropriate analyses is required

· Detail-oriented with a demonstrated ability to self-motivate and follow-through

· Must be able to travel to various company sites and meetings as needed

Education and Experience:

· Bachelor's degree in finance, business, mathematics, statistics, economics, or data science field. An advanced degree is preferred.

· Minimum 5-7 years of work experience in related field - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and experience of building financial models, data analytics/science tools
