Newell Brands Sourcing Analyst in Huntersville, North Carolina

Position Overview

The Sourcing Analyst will be responsible for developing and implementing analytical reports which will support the plastic resin and components team’s purchasing initiatives and key performance indicators. Additionally, the analyst will support various aspects of the team’s productivity initiatives, new product development activities and supplier metrics. The ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities is critical in this fast paced and quickly evolving energy related industry that consistently changes month to month.

General Responsibilities

  • Plastic Resin, Components and Chemicals Forecasting.

  • Create, produce and generate supply chain reports.

  • Review data with the Buyer/Planners at our Newell Brands manufacturing sites.

  • Interaction and monthly reporting to outside vendors.

  • Ongoing support to the manufacturing sites and vendors to ensure timely flow of raw materials.

  • SAP reporting and task completion.

  • Managing Info Records and raw material SKU setups, including creating and updating internal SAP system and databases.

  • Vendor information management and updates.

  • Financial tracking.

  • Monthly productivity calculations and database updates.

  • Work with the AP team on clearing invoices and solving any payment discrepancies.

  • Interface with the central and business unit engineering groups.

  • Support requests for material samples and vendor information as required by Engineering, Quality and Manufacturing.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelors/University degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain Management or related business experience is required.

  • 1 – 2 years of sourcing experience required.

  • Advanced Excel Skills

  • Sourcing/ Supply Chain experience for manufacturing is a plus.

  • Limited travel.

  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

  • Ability to work both independently and with cross functional teams.

  • Excellent Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SAP experience preferred

  • Power Bi experience preferred
