Newell Brands Associate Manager, DTC Pricing & Planning in Hoboken, New Jersey

Position Title: Associate Manager, DTC Pricing & Planning

Reports to: Director, DTC

Location: Hoboken, NJ

The Pricing and Planning Associate Manager is responsible for all aspects of merchandising planning and implementing pricing strategies to maximize Direct to Consumer performance against sales and profit goals.

JobResponsibilities

Pricing Analysis & Execution

  • Support the pricing strategies for Direct to Consumerbusiness to drive incremental revenue growth and margin

  • Apply various pricing techniques including everyday pricing,promotional pricing, and markdown pricing to achieve business goals

  • Measure effectiveness of existing pricing strategies, makerecommendations to Trade Marketing and Finance teams and gain alignment

  • Conduct price elasticity studies to find incremental growthopportunities

  • Conduct competitive analysis and benchmark DTC prices withthe market

  • Utilize in-house or external pricing tools to manage and optimizePricing

  • Evaluate pricing tools and technologies and identify areas toimprove pricing operations

  • Update pricing on websites, ensure that accurate pricing isflowing to the websites via different tools and platforms

  • Collect internal and external pricing data needed tounderstand pricing differences between DTC and Marketplace

  • Create pricing dashboards to capture pricing KPIs andestablish metrics relating to pricing and promotional activity and monitor performanceagainst these metrics

  • Collaborate with Analytics team on understanding overall webmetrics and informing pricing decisions

  • Support the Analytics team in the implementation of the DTCP&L

  • Maintain booking order and approval documentations, andconduct manual price override reviews as directed by Internal Audit team forSOX compliance

Merchandising Planning & Forecasting

  • Support the delivery of the forecast of department, brand,category, and SKU level sales by taking into consideration merchandisingstrategy and other factors

  • Create forecasts and build business cases for new businessinitiatives including new DTC selling channels

  • Partner with Merchandising on planning and forecasting forpromotions and other initiatives

  • Support the development, implementation & execution ofnew business processes, planning tools and merchandise systems technology

  • Work with Demand Planning team to ensure that the DTCforecasts and plans are integrated into larger demand and supply plans

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in an analytical related field preferred

  • 2+ years’ experience in pricing, planning, buying, finance orrelated field required

  • Experience with dynamic pricing systems and pricing tools andtechnologies preferred

  • Retail, eCommerce, or CPG Direct to Consumer experiencepreferred

  • Ability to manage several work streams together and switchbetween different initiatives

  • Ability to collaborate cross functionally across groups likeTrade Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, Merchandising and Operations

  • Ability to manage complexity and scale

  • Candidate should have excellent communication skills bothpresentation and verbal and should be comfortable engaging with colleagues atall levels
