Newell Brands Senior Sales Manager, Writing in Shanghai,

Position Title: Senior Sales Manager, Writing

Location: Shanghai, China

Reports to: Commercial Director, Writing

Job Summary:

The Senior Sales Manager’s main responsibility is to develop & execute a sustainable route-to-market strategy for Everyday Writing category (WACE), and to recruit and lead the selling team in the assigned regions, managing distributors and top accounts, also collecting and feedback the situation and competition of WACE category to the company. The key objective for this role is to build and maintain the network of distributors & top accounts that to achieve sales and financial targets. These distributors and top accounts will assist in launching and distribution Newell Brands Everyday Writing (WACE) business in China.

Job Duties:

  • Build WACEroute-to-market development strategy for traditional trade in order togain the wide distribution and annual sales target and standard margin target forWACE in assigned regions/provinces/cities

  • Build and maintain a good business network withdifferent level distributors via conducting annual business plan, daily operation,business review to ensure the target distribution, coverage and the best in-storeexecution in terms of pricing/display/assortment and promotion management

  • Build and Lead the Sales Team work to ensure thebest in-store execution through providing coaching and feedback to the team.

  • Work with Sales Director, Brand/Trade Marketingand other cross function teams to have yearly A&P plan and review and trackthe plan with best ROI

  • Work closely with Supply Chain functions/SalesSupport teams to have the good forecast plan and service rate

    Job Responsibilities:

  • University Degree in business related field.

  • Strong Field Sales management anddistributor management experience, knowledgeand skills, minimum 8 years’ experience in Western FMCG / Stationary industrymultinational company

  • Regional management (more than 3 provinces inChina)

  • Sales or Marketing emphasis preferred

  • Sales ManagementFunctional knowledge:

  • Route-to-market strategy planning includingpricing

  • Assortment management

  • Field Call Management

  • Distributor selection/management

  • Leadership in leading large sales team

  • Experience in preparation of budgets,forecasting etc.

  • Self-starter and able to work independently

  • Sound analytical skills and acute attention todetails

  • Fluent verbal and written English communicationskills.
