Position title: Personalreferent/-in / HR Officer

Location: Frankfurt area (Hattersheim am Main)

Reports to: Head of HR EMEA for the Outdoor & Recreation Business Unit

Contract type: Fixed-term (12 months), full-time

Job summary

As a Personalreferent / HR Officer you will provide direction on all Human Resources related topics to our employees in Outdoor & Recreation Business Unit in Germany. This includes handling HR administrative tasks.

You will be a single point of contact for ca. 100 employees (85 in our office in Hattersheim and 15 in warehouse in Hungen).

You will work independently, being part of corporate HR function dedicated for brands like Coleman, Campingaz, Marmot, Contigo, Sevylor .

Key responsibilities:

  • Builds relationships with employees at all levels of the organization, demonstrating awareness of their different needs and backgrounds.

  • Provides optimal administrative HR support: prepares employment contracts and extensions, severance agreements, work certificates, warnings as well as all other correspondence with employees.

  • Monitors critical dates and deadlines and ensures that all HR transactions are documented and filed (promotions, salary increases etc.).

  • Manages relationships with local administrations and handles administrative tasks.

  • Maintains HR Information Systems personnel records, ensuring data integrity and current validity.

  • Supports the annual salary and bonus processes.

  • Offers guidance with all disciplinary issues that may arise with employees.

  • Ensuring compliance with government employment regulations.

  • Provides support and guidance to managers in the employment process.

  • Ensures accurate and timely tracking and reporting of HR metrics: headcount reports, quarterly reports, exit interview results etc. Maintaining HR information system records and compiling reports.

  • Partners with Talent Acquisition, Hiring Managers and Agencies for recruitment needs

  • Supports internal and external audits.

  • Supports applications of Talent Management Program. Consolidates development needs and coordinates external and internal trainings.

  • Partners with Work Council

  • Occasionally supports payroll process.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Commercial training/advanced training as "Personalfachkaufmann/-frau" or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field

  • Min. 3-4 years of experience in German HR administration

  • Deep knowledge of German employment law, tax and social insurance legislation

  • Fluent in German and English (written and spoken)

  • Good command of MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Analytical and problem solving skills

  • Flexible and resilient

  • Strong communication, collaboration and teamwork skills

  • Experience in dealing with works councils

  • Experience in processing payroll with the collaboration of a payroll provider

  • Experience in effective use of HR information systems

  • Prior experience in a matrix driven structure would be an asset
