Position Title: Production Lead

Reports to: Supervisor

Location: Forest VA

Shift: 2nd Shift

Key Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for performing a variety of manual operations to expected productivity standards in support of the functions and processes within the Production Department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting with the overall operation of production; including, training, directing, and developing employees in department processes and procedures.

• Monitoring new and veteran employees and reporting performance concerns.

• Providing input for reviews to Operations Leader and acting as primary point of contact on the floor in the absence of Operations Leader.

• Ensuring departmental flow of raw materials in and finished goods out.

• Analyzing and improving current department processes.

• Developing and achieving performance goals and objectives.

• Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Previous production and/or manufacturing experience is strongly preferred

• Previous lead/supervisory/or training experience or the demonstrated ability to effectively train others required.

• Computer experience a plus. Microsoft Word and Excel are strongly preferred.

• Ability to exert physical effort for weights generally up to 60 lbs.

• Ability to read and write in the English language is required.Preferred Qualifications:

• Ability to successfully prioritize one's own work and the work of others in a fast paced, multi-tasked environment.

• Demonstrated ability to relate well to others using strong communication, interpersonal, leadership and related skills.

• Demonstrated problem-solving analytical and organizational skills, including strong attention to detail.
