Newell Brands Machine Operator in Forest, Virginia
Position Purpose: Responsible to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site's business goals and objectives.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Capable of performing maintenance, repair and installation of machinery and equipment.
Maintains and repairs maintenance shop equipment.
Test performance of electromechanical assemblies, using test instruments such as oscilloscopes, electronic voltmeters, and bridges
Perform mechanic skills including, but not limitedto, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repairof production machines.
Install electrical and electronic partsand hardware in housings or assemblies, usingsoldering equipment and hand tools.
Align, fit.and assemble component parts. using hand tools, powertools. fixtures, templates, etc.
Verify dimensions and clearances of parts to ensure conformance to specifications, usingprecision measuring instruments.
Repair, rework,and calibrate hydraulic and pneumatic assemblies and systems to meet operational specifications and tolerances.
Comply with safetyregulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
Train others to install, use, and maintain robots or automated equipment.
Perform other dutiesas assigned to meet business needs.

Working Conditions & Physical Demands:
Typical manufacturing environment. Refer to the specific Work Environmental Checklist for this position. Flexibility in work scheduled is also required for possible overtime, work on holidays, weekends and extend hours with minimal notice and as required by operational need.
Education & Experience Requirements:
HighSchool diploma or equivalent experience.
Completionof a craft apprenticeship a plus
6months – 1 year of manufacturing or industrial maintenance experience
