Job Title : Senior Commercial Finance Analyst
Reports To : Director, Commercial Finance
Location: Chicago, Illinois
The Senior Commercial Finance Analyst will support Walmart/WM.com, Costco, Other Club, and Value/Dollar Markets.
Support the Sales Team tocreate, own and manage planning, reporting, and forecasting across allcustomers
Operate as an integral member ofthe Commercial organization involved in Day-to-Day Impactful BusinessDecisions and Processes
Lead the financial forecastingand evaluation of sales initiatives including customer proposals, termsnegotiations, events and post event evaluations
Effectively makes decisions onmore complex issues, considering relevant costs, benefits and risks.
Use accounting principles andknowledge of internal controls to provide objective, timely, and accuratefinancial information
Work with Sales leadership toestablish promotional spend strategy and develop customer and program levelspending details to support the initiation of that strategy
Analyze monthly promotionalspend actuals by product line to assure Sales Finance forecast is alignedwith plan, as well as ensure forecasting reflects changes to phasing
Work collaboratively with the demandplanning team to ensure APO projection align with Sale LE/Forecast
Providecoaching to sales team to enhance their financial skill sets to ensure bothfunctions are working efficiently and collaboratively
Participate actively in monthlyconsensus meeting on items such as volume, trade, and advertising andpromotional spending.
Perform varied ad hoc analyseson the business across stated strategic priorities and metrics versus ourPlan Assumptions
Assist on Customer specificproduct development (GKM express) as needed
Ad hoc analytics as needed
Undergraduate Degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics
Minimum 4-6 years of experience in finance/accounting
Experience in a Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) environment preferred
Previous Commercial/Sales finance experience preferred
Exhibits strong personalaccountability & attention to detail
Comfortable working with andanalyzing large amounts of data
Articulates views in a clear andconcise manner.
Ability toconnect the bigger picture to day to day operations of the organization
Ability to learn new financialinformation systems and data and to work between various IT systemsefficiently and accurately
Advanced computer skills inMicrosoft Office including Excel and PowerPoint programs
Significant experience with SAP preferred
