Job Summary

The Costco National Account Manager (NAM) is responsible for developing, executing and fostering a collaborative business partnership between Newell Brands and Costco that delivers volume, share and profit objectives for the Company across multiple product lines. Role responsible for delivering financial and distribution annual objectives across book of business. This role will build, manage and execute Joint Business Plans with the customer and work internally with cross functional team members to build and execute robust plans.

Key responsibilities:

  • Deliver top line invoice sales / budget targetsand operating income metrics across the total A&C business.

  • Develop and execute a by customer/ by categoryjoint business plan that delivers on customer and company annual objectives.

  • Manage and Develop Costco KAM while working with andjointly managing key categories owned by the KAM.

  • Works with Newell Brands and Costco demandplanning and customer supply chain staff to develop accurate sales forecastsand achieve specified levels of forecast accuracy.

  • Lead process for managing trade spend/customerprograms in collaboration with trade and finance through management of internalTPM system

  • Negotiates and manages trade funds to createcustomer and company value by consistentlymeasuring and enforcing trade terms and identifying opportunities for improvement

  • Build excellent customer relationships withbuyers and cross functional customer team members (Planners, Supply Chain, etc.)

  • Lead and communicate important initiatives andneeds of the customer to deliver collaborative objectives.

  • Use POS data, internal shipment data and customerspecific system data, information systems to maximize market share, sales, and profits.

  • Leverages our brands and product mix to improveprofitability and meet customer, shopper, and Newell Brands targets

  • Works with trade to implement methods thatassist our customers in effectively and creatively winning with consumers,shoppers, end-users, and purchasers through promotions, packaging and merchandising.

  • Lead and communicate important initiatives andneeds of the customer to deliver collaborative objectives.

  • Monitors the competitors' brands and products aswell as our market share, competitor market share, and target market share tounderstand shopper trends and opportunities and communicating to appropriatesales, trade and brand management

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration

  • Costco/Club experience supporting +$50M book ofbusiness across multiple product categories

  • 10+ years sales and/or channel and trademanagement experience

  • Experienceselling general merchandise or consumer products goods

  • Strongproject management skills,particularly with organization and prioritization of key initiatives

  • Ability to thrive and be flexible in afast-paced environment
