Contract type: Permanent, full-time, hybrid working system

Your Role & Team in a Nutshell

As Trade Marketing Specialist you will craft data-driven compelling stories to boost category growth and manage sales and marketing efforts across various distribution channels (incl. Food/Drug/Mass).

Your goal is to enhance market penetration and sales volume by integrating channel insights into our trade marketing and sales strategies.

Working with the sales team, you’ll help drive profits by adapting brand and trade strategies for our customers and channels for brands Spontex, NUK and others.

You will be part of a five-person Marketing Team in our Barcelona office.

We will help you achieve your goals and develop by providing regular feedback and access to online training courses.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Category & Shopper Insight : Utilize syndicated and panel data to guide sales strategies, optimize product assortments, and share best practices in category management.

  • Data Analysis & Reporting : Define categories, maintain product hierarchies, and provide strategic direction using data analytics.

  • Multi-channel Expertise : Analyze channel dynamics, monitor market trends, and understand differences in online and in-store shopping behaviors.

  • Channel Strategy Development : Set channel priorities, contribute to strategies for specific channels/customers, and develop profiles based on competitive intelligence.

  • Business Plan Support : Assist in creating commercialization plans aligned with strategy, support sales plan execution, and implement channel best practices.

  • Line Review Assistance : Support sales teams in preparing for line reviews and report relevant business data.

  • In-Store Activation : Collaborate with the Brand Activation team to set objectives and plan activities.

  • New Product Launch Support : Aid in product launch and merchandising, and execute channel-specific launch tactics.

  • Other: Provide product mix recommendations, collaborate with S&OP for forecast accuracy, manage SKU issues, and oversee the Brand Activation Budget.

What You’ll Need

Minimum:

  • Proven experience working with a Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) company (Channel Management, Trade Marketing, Shopper Marketing, Field Merchandising, Category Management, Marketing, Sales or related position)

  • Bachelor's degree (emphasis in business/marketing or related field)

  • Very good command of MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint, familiar with MS SharePoint

  • Familiarity with syndicated data, measures and software (e.g., POS, NPD, Nielsen/Nitro, IRI, Consumer Panel, Spectra, ECRM or Market Track, XP3, etc.)

  • Fluent in Spanish and English (written and spoken)

  • Willing to travel up to 10% of time
