Newell Brands VP, GBS - Business Enablement in Atlanta, Georgia

Position Title: Vice President, GBS – Business Enablement

Location: Atlanta, GA

Reports to: SVP, Global Business Services

The Vice President, GBS– Business Enablement will report to the SVP Global Business Services at Newell Brands and is responsible for setting and driving strategic direction, ongoing performance, and overall goals and objectives for the Business Enablement Team. Business Enablement capabilities will evolve to meet the needs of the GBS team and at a minimum will include analytics & insights, robotic process automation including the RPA (Robotics Process Automation) COE, process improvement, as well as project/portfolio management. The VP Business Enablement will be an agent of change responsible for change management across GBS.

KeyResponsibilities

  • Assist in the development of future statebusiness and process planning. Partnering with GBS and other key leaders acrossthe enterprise, identify process improvements, cost-reduction, and serviceenhancement opportunities across all business lines. Recommend solutions,develop business cases, and gain senior leadership support.

  • Align business objectives into project plans;including acquisition integrations and process redesigns. Identify and driveinitiatives which automate and optimize global business processes and systemsin GBS and Finance that drive efficiency, trust, accountability andtransformation. Manage GBS projectportfolio and ensure that project benefits are realized.

  • Develop and evolve a strategic plan andimplementation roadmap, to be utilized for collaborative decision making andalignment across businesses and functional leadership. Establish and sustaineffective business partner relationships with key stakeholders on all programs,projects, and initiatives ensuring financial and risk management requirementsare achieved in delivery of all projects and initiatives.

  • Support and grow an environment within GBS andFinance that supports new technology and processes. Lead change managementefforts across all stakeholders to deliver finance transformation programs,projects, initiatives; strategically align workforce plans to foster a growingculture of change

  • Identify, recommend and ensure efficientimplementation of process improvements/changes during technology projects andinitiatives. Recognize cross-functional opportunities and drive solutionsacross the Newell Brands Enterprise. Driveformal adoption of continuous improvement capabilities (LEAN/ Six Sigma, etc.)into the GBS operating structure.

  • Chair the RPA Governance Board and lead theRobotics Process Automation COE which is responsible for RPA demand managementand business value delivery, new process design and blueprinting and building,deploying and supporting a digital workforce.Oversee the GBS BusinessInsights and Analytics capability which will be responsible for the design,development, implementation and ongoing management of GBS analytics, metricsand data management. Will also be responsible for leading business intelligence,data warehousing and data delivery across multiple functional areas.Partner with GBS service delivery and globalprocess leaders on integration of acquisitions and new business initiatives,with a focus on driving enterprise excellence and transformation using bestpractice methodology

Experience/Capabilities

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting with15+ years business leadership experience in a large public corporation, MBApreferred.

  • Demonstrated excellence as a strategic thinker,coupled with experience in innovation and implementation of strategicinitiatives.

  • Ability to lead, influence and communicateacross all levels of Newell Brands.

  • Demonstrable experience of executingprocess transformation initiatives or delivering enterprise systems.

  • Experience and background inevaluating business risk and implementing financial controls.

  • In-depth understanding of SAP orother major ERP systems capabilities.

  • Program and project managementexperience required.

  • Formal continuous improvementtraining (e.g. LEAN / Six Sigma) required.

  • Experience managing/overseeing a RoboticsCOE including an RPA governance structure that effectively manages the demandfor RPA, including process for vetting RPA opportunities and ensuring thatbusiness benefits are realized.

  • Senior stakeholder managementexperience with ability to influence & persuade key stakeholders and toconstructively deal with conflicts.

  • Ability to work and collaborate withothers, to consider the needs of all affected groups, and to build/leveragerelationships across functions and organizations to achieve business results. Decisiveyet collaborative leadership style.

  • Ability to work with others in aformal process for solving issues and problems.

  • Strong written and oralcommunication skills.

  • Shared Services experience and priorexperience leading an enablement function.
