This role leads the IT organization's global training development and deployment team, ensuring high quality training programs are developed to support systems & process change initiatives and deployed to intended audiences. This role provides thought leadership on the development, translation, and deployment of training programs to ensure they are clear, concise, and relevant for a global audience. This role ensures training systems are in place, stable and leveraged to support training development and deployment activities. This role encourages use of new technologies and rapid development methodologies to reduce cost and increase speed to delivery. This role advocates for the learner.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with internal project owners and other key stakeholders to define instructional goals and assessment strategies.

  • Work with Change Management Lead and other key stakeholders to identify training audience per project.

  • Manage instructor-led and self-paced training development, including scoping work effort, determining resource requirements, developing project plans, identifying risks, and working to resolve issues to keep projects on time and on budget.

  • Lead the team, including curriculum design, training deployment, LMS administration, training communication, and reporting.

  • Develop standards, templates, and documentation for training deliverables.

  • Ensure training programs are aligned with business objectives, learning outcomes, and best practices.

  • Review training deliverables and provide feedback to instructional designers (internal and/or external) and project team.

  • Ensure training programs are translated and localized for global audiences, as needed.

  • Ensure training programs are deployed using appropriate channels and platforms, such as Learning Management Systems, eLearning, virtual instructor-led training (VILT), microlearning, etc.

  • Ensure training programs are evaluated for effectiveness and impact, using metrics and feedback.

  • Ensure training systems are maintained, updated, and optimized to support training development and deployment activities.

  • Research and implement new technologies and methodologies to enhance training quality and efficiency.

  • Manage vendor relationships and contracts for training development and deployment services.

  • Manage the budget and resources for training development and deployment projects.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, or related field.

  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in training development and deployment, preferably in a global IT environment.

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in leading and managing teams, projects, and vendors.

  • Expertise in instructional design principles, methodologies, and tools.

  • Expertise in training delivery methods, channels, and platforms.

  • Expertise in training evaluation methods, metrics, and tools.

  • Expertise in training translation and localization processes and best practices.

  • Proficiency in using Learning Management Systems (LMS), authoring tools, and other training technologies.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially PowerPoint and Excel.

Required Skills:

  • Excellent collaboration, negotiation, and influencing skills.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality results.

  • Experience in curriculum design, content development and training best practices for adult learners.

  • Working familiarity with Learning Management Systems, SuccessFactors LMS experience strongly preferred.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and presentation skills.

  • Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic, and matrixed environment.

  • Player/coach mindset.
