Newell Brands Sr. Financial Analyst in Atlanta, Georgia
The Sr. Financial Analyst - FP&A is responsible for providing financial analysis, reporting, and support. This role will have responsibilities for month-end close, forecasting, budgeting, and delivery of analytical insights. This position will continuously identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiently navigate financial systems and tools to provide timely and accurate financial information. This position will collaborate across finance and regional leadership, and partner with the business to provide insights and manage overhead spend and headcount.
Specific Responsibilities:
Assist with month-end and quarter-end close activities including variance commentary and reporting.
Develop reporting and analytics supporting the Learning and Development segment.
Track headcount and related people costs, partnering with the business to provide insights and meaningful analysis.
Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations and conduct peer reviews.
Assist with financial reporting using SAP and BI tools.
Prepare presentations or slides for Monthly Business Reviews and any other needs as requested.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, as timeline to action may be tight and require significant cross-functional coordination.
Ad hoc projects as assigned.
Key Qualifications:
Strong analytical skills.
Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance or Business.
3 – 5 years of relevant finance experience, preferably in Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG)
Proficiency in MS Office applications (Access, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), computer literate.
Experience with SAP and Oracle/Hyperion planning systems strongly preferred.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Self-motivated in achieving goals and completing routine tasks.
Ability to work as part of a team and interface with others across all levels of the organization.
