osition Title: Senior Financial Systems Analyst

Location: Atlanta, GA

Reports to: Manager, Global Financial Systems.

Newell Brands is looking for a Senior Financial Systems Analyst to become part of the Global Financial Systems team responsible for the development, effective operations and training of mission-critical financial systems at Newell Brands. He/she will work with business partners in defining, designing and implementing solutions to meet the reporting and analysis needs of Newell's worldwide finance organization. Additionally, he/she will have responsibility for applications deployment, system enhancements, financial reports development, and end-user support.

He/she will be primarily involved in developing, maintaining and supporting financial applications within the Oracle EPM suite of solutions, including: Essbase, Hyperion Planning, Hyperion Financial Management (HFM), Hyperion Financial Data Quality Management (FDMEE) and associated reporting tools such as Hyperion Financial Reports and the Smart View Microsoft Office add-in. The candidate must be highly motivated with a team focus, and demonstrate the ability to operate effectively under tight deadlines in a rapidly changing and highly competitive environment. He/she must also possess the skills necessary to present effective training and systems updates to a worldwide finance user community.

Job Responsibilities

  • Maintain a strong knowledge of finance functionsand understand the reporting needs of the business

  • Implement necessary design modifications toreflect changes in the company's organizational structure, including entity,account and other updates, while considering application and reportingrequirements and maintaining data and system integrity and availability

  • Make required updates to the Oracle EPM suite ofproducts to affect required business changes, including (but not limited to):

  • Master data (metadata) elements, structures,hierarchies, attributes and properties

  • Business rules and calculation scripts

  • User data input forms

  • Standardized financial reports

  • Execute routine procedures related to month- andquarter-end close cycles, including updating of foreign exchange rates,estimate categories and logic, account/entity translation files, as well asensuring the various reporting structures tie

  • Routinely review and, in conjunction withCorporate IT, update security settings to ensure users have appropriate accessrights

  • Develop and maintain analytical schedules tosupport management's evaluation of company- and GBU-level performance,including various ad hoc analyses

  • Create and document detailed processes andprocedures around financial systems to ensure accurate and timely execution ofsame

  • Review existing Oracle EPM suite for processingefficiency opportunities; document, recommend, test and implement applicationchanges that improve overall system performance

  • Support the Corporate Accounting and otherfunctional teams to further leverage the Oracle / Hyperion applications acrossthe organization and identify opportunities to streamline the closing,forecasting and budgeting processes

  • Participate as a key team member on the HyperionEPM development and implementation project, with the intention to play a keysystems administration role in the post go-live, production environment

  • Provide end-user support and training for allworldwide users of the Oracle EPM suite

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance,Information Systems or related field

  • 2-5 years of finance/financial systemsexperience

  • Strong understanding of financial reportingconcepts and processes

  • Expertise in Microsoft Office tools preferred(proficiency required)

  • Solid understanding of multi-currencyenvironments and foreign currency translation

  • Capable of operating effectively undercompressed time frames and meeting strict deadlines

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills,both written and verbal

  • Strong analytical ability to identify, defineand facilitate implementation of group initiatives

  • Well organized and able to handle multipleassignments

  • Able to work both independently and as a memberof a team; goal oriented

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Oracle EPM products, includingEssbase, Hyperion Planning, HFM, FDMEE (in any combination)
