The Sales Planning – Strategic Project Manager will identify and manage the implementation of strategic division-driven initiatives with the ultimate goal of engineering long-term sustainable top and bottom-line sales growth. These projects will focus on process efficiency and effectiveness, cross-functional collaboration, and change management.
Additionally, the role will serve as a liaison between division leadership and field sales teams by providing two-way feedback on programs, initiatives, and results thereby driving better execution and sustainability of new initiatives and standard processes. The role will require the direct development of tools and tracking mechanisms.
Understands the scope of programs as defined by thebusiness requirements.
Defines key planning milestones
Identifies, confirms, and obtains participationfrom required cross-functional teams. Ensures team clearly understands rolesand responsibilities for the duration of the program.
Creates and executes program plans. Facilitates anddrives the core team to identify and schedule all the work for end-to-enddeployment required to fulfill program scope.
Identifies goals and success criteria, drives thedevelopment and implementation of key goals, objectives, and success criteriafor the program with key stakeholders and core team. Raises conflicts andresolves with the appropriate level of management engagement to build consensus.Obtains and assigns resources to the program plan.
Analyzes areas of risk to avoid risky activities byidentifying and managing critical paths and risk areas.
Establishes contingency plans and identifiestrigger events and assumes responsibility for initiation corrective actions.
Tracks and manages the program schedule andupstream and downstream dependencies. Analyzes the actual performance againstthe plan and makes adjustments consistent with plan objectives.
Drives action item resolution and track completion.Ensures program milestones area accomplished and ensures overall committedtimelines are met. Documents all major plan changes in scope, approach, anddate delivery.
Communicates updates on major milestones and keepsall stakeholders informed of progress and issues. Identifies and managesproposed changes to program parameters and works with Division leadership toensure appropriate processes and communications are followed.
Monitors and ensures the quality of programdeliverables.
Uses independent judgment and discretion in mattersof significance.
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Bachelor's degree (emphasis inbusiness, marketing, finance or related field)
2+ years of experience working in theareas of project or change management related to sales and marketing teams.
Strategicthinking, self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projectssimultaneously with aggressive deadlines
Strong analytical skills and computersoftware proficiency (e.g. Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.)
Must be able to make connections anddraw conclusions from multiple data sources
Must be able to travel 5% of the time.
Build strong sustainable businessrelationships with internal and external facing teams
Strong Excel and data management skills
Excellent communication skills – bothwritten and verbal
Convey complex issues with strong communicationand presentation skills
