A Center of Excellence with a deep competency in implementation of PEAK PACS (Processes, Applications, Capabilities, and Systems) in a Factory/Warehouse setting is a crucial element in our future success.

Position Overview

The AIM (Advanced Initiative Management) Deployment Manager will facilitate and lead the CI strategy and capability deployment in the factories and Warehouses to support business imperatives through the effective deployment of Advanced Initiative Management, (AIM), through PEAK systems, capabilities, and methodology. This role will support the delivery and execution of all capital investment assets using AIM tools; DFMEA, FMEA, PFMEA, Lifecyle Cost Analysis as well as other tools to deliver a world class engineered solution from concept to implementation to achieving vertical startup. The successful candidate will support all Business Segments and Site leaders in coordinating, coaching, developing, implementing, building of capability and implementation across the Newell Network to meet defined goals and milestones for vertical startup of investment assets.

Specific Responsibilities

Lead the North America AIM PAC Continuous Improvement Pillar

• Lead the development of systems, coaching, training, analysis, calibration, and project leadership for Advanced Initiative Management (AIM) deployment across the Newell Network

• Build capability to support implementation, expansion, and deployment of AIM teams

• Develop an overall understanding of AIM and how it links with other PACS, including the tracking of key measures of success for Commissioning, Qualification and Validation, (CQV) that tie directly to performance measures

• Teach, mentor, and coach Business Segments, Functional, and Site Senior Leaders on how to apply AIM and the appropriate roadmaps and tools

• Lead the AIM team in development, updating and tracking all material for AIM PAC, including training material, templates, scorecards, tools

• Responsibility to drive the AIM PAC agenda for North America

• Provide guidance in support of the global PEAK Agenda, aligning AIM initiatives with the Overarching Strategic Plan and PEAK implementation strategy

• Facilitate meetings, Kaizen and project workshops to solve urgent business needs, while building the capability of the key internal resources needed to deliver on critical initiatives

• Support the build of resident site AIM PACS teams and link PACS work groups to prioritized business opportunities

• Provide analytics and business intelligence to support project selection, root-cause analysis, and project validation

• Professionally challenges current and/or traditional ways of thinking and lead new ways/approaches

The Candidate

The successful candidate must be technically competent within various types of supply chain verticals along with the ability to lead a team and coach others on productivity tools to drive accelerated productivity gains

Key Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering, Engineering, Supply Chain, or equivalent degree

• 5+ years’ experience in a leadership position within the equipment and asset design, development, automation and repair and maintenance environment

• Experience with a Continuous Improvement methodology (TPM, Lean, Six Sigma) with a focus on Policy Deployment, Goal Alignment, and Education & Training

• Interpersonal skills, self-confidence, leadership abilities

• Proven Change agent

• Ability to build trust and interact with all levels of the organization, including senior management

• Communication skills (verbal and written)

• Professional maturity, appearance, and demeanor

• Team leadership and team membership skills

• Creative, reliable, organized, adaptable, flexible, innovative, and a self-starter

• Computer literate (including mastery of all Microsoft Office Suite)

• Focus on adding value to a fast and performance driven business

• Ability to travel 50% to Supply Chain locations across the US and Internationally
