Position: Finance Leader

Location: Reedsburg, WI

Reports to: Senior Financial Manager / Sr. Director of Operations

POSITION SUMMARY: This position is responsible for all accounting functions at plant level including general ledger and inventory management. This position is the finance partner for the Sr. Director of Operations for Baby Care NA facility.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Reviews and makes entries to the general ledger to accurately report the financial condition of the NUK Reedsburg plant. Meets monthly and annual closing schedules for general ledger and prepares financial and performance schedules as deemed necessary by plant and company management.

  • Owner of plant standard costing process; ensuring the plant standards accurately reflect the value of goods.

  • Responsible for monitoring monthly and YTD actual costs of production vs. standards by item, analysis of variances to standard and recommendations for improvements to standards/processes.

  • Prepares annual budget for presentation to company management including department expenses, hourly labor budget, capital budget, line standards, raw material pricing, and standard costs for finished goods.

  • Participates in monthly business reviews; leading the financial portion of the business update.

  • Supports new product development with financial payback analysis and cost estimates.

  • Assists with plant productivity savings idea generation, tracking, and validation.

  • Verifies in-plant inventories monthly and plant warehouse periodically; ensuring internal controls are adequate and properly followed. Conducts and supervises an annual physical inventory.

  • Owner of capital project tracking, asset activation, capital payback analysis, and accounting controls. Maintains and reconciles fixed asset ledger with general ledger and physical location.

  • Liaison between plant and centralized Accounts Payable team; ensuring all invoices are accurate and paid promptly.

  • Responsible for developing and maintaining written procedures for all accounting related functions within the facility inclusive of cost and inventory accounting, payroll, accounts payable, budgeting, fixed assets, capital expenditures, and monthly closing processes.

  • Establishes and maintains effective work relationships within the department, the Corporation and the community; and maintains the professional competence, knowledge and skill necessary for the satisfactory performance of all assigned responsibilities.

  • Perform other duties and individual assignments as management may direct.

All job functions to be completed in compliance with federal, state, local regulations, company guidelines and policies.

REQUIREMENTS/EDUCATION LEVEL:

Required: Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, or related degree.

Preferred: CPA or CMA certification

WORK EXPERIENCE:

Required:

  • 6-8 years of finance, accounting or related experience in a manufacturing company

  • SAP experience

  • Knowledge of cost, inventory and fixed asset accounting

  • Understanding of generally accepted accounting principles as related to the essential functions of the position

  • Ability to translate financial results into operational actions.

  • Ability to multi task and work effectively with key stakeholders and ability to work with remote teams and leaders.

  • Ability to monitor, assess and implement new accounting and financial reporting standards.

  • Knowledge of sound internal controls.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Sitting at workstation approximately 85 percent of work time. Standing and walking approximately 15 percent of work time.

  • Ability to work overtime or occasionally on weekends with short notice.
