Job Summary:
The Outdoor and Recreation segment products enable outdoor, backyard, and indoor fun and memories including tents, coolers, beverage ware, apparel, and more. The Associate Quality Engineer represents the Quality function for assigned product categories on innovation projects and in market product improvements for North America. She or he will be a part of a tight knit cross functional team including our Brand, Engineering, and Supplier Quality teams. This position will:
Partner with the business for assigned new product innovation projects to drive 5-star product reviews.
Participate in identification of critical to quality product variables, qualification planning, and analyze test results.
Ensure product quality scales from test builds to production rates while remaining below target defect rates.
Identify and execute key product improvement plans for in-market products.
Identify product improvement opportunities based on voice of consumer/customer.
Determine root cause and execute corrective actions to resolve defects.

Be in Atlanta and be in the office at least three days per week.
Be able to travel up to 10% to visit domestic and international suppliers as required.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science.
Is curious about consumer expectations that leads to 5-star product ratings.
A keen sense of process and organization enabling her/him to learn Advanced Quality Planning and Continuous Improvement Quality Tools
Naturally uses teamwork, collaboration, and influence skills for enabling partnering with peers in Marketing, Engineering, and Project Management.
Able to work on multiple projects in parallel.
Can apply basic statistics to analyze data including standard deviation, t-tests, and histograms.
Preferred Qualifications
1 year of quality or engineering experience.
Knowledge of:
Advanced Quality Planning tools such as PPAP, control plans, FMEA, building inspection and production quality plans.
improvement tools including AQL sampling, auditing, and statistical process control.
Use of statistical analysis software to evaluate options (JMP, Minitab, etc.).
Previous experience of Quality Management Systems (ISO / AS / TS / FDA / IATF).
Previous experience with Consumer products
